Oxford Mail - 1987.
Leaving Yemen to live in Oxford, England , where Jan, my husband went to complete his Doctorate at the University , gave me the chance to establish a small textile business. I imported hand woven fabric from Morocco, dyed it and made fashion clothing which was sold around the country at exhibitions.

Newspaper article about exhibition sponsored by a princess of the Jordanian Royal Household.
“Arab Medina’s in Batik” was an exhibition of my work showcasing the architecture of Jordan. The show also displayed my hand painted clothing and home decorating items.

Jordan Arts and Crafts Show - 1998.
This was a group showing with two other women. There is a vibrant women’s art community in Jordan which is challenging to gain membership of. Most women show their work in small private locations to invited guests only. It was a privilege and a pleasure to become part of this small elite group.
